Chris Harrison is the Kildare local area rep for the Labour Party. Brought up and still living in Monasterevin, Chris has always been passionate about community and trying to make a difference.

Chris has worked for many years in the trade union movement, advocating for workers' rights and fair treatment. His experience in this area has given him a deep understanding of the challenges facing working families, and he is committed to working with the community to advocate for policies and changes that support them.

Prior to this, he worked in the area of Social Care supporting adults with intellectual disabilities. This experience has given him insight into the need for better local supports and public services for people with disabilities and their families, as well as highlighting the need for better local initiatives in promoting independent access. 

Chris is deeply committed to his family, and to creating a community that is safe, welcoming, and supportive for everyone.
